Sent from the US of A!

So, you know how I've been whining about the postal service losing my packages? Well, long story short, all the packages did arrive on time! I don't want to go into whatever happened but I finally have my Sigma brushes, my iHerb order and my blog sale purchases! YAY!

From the blog sale, I bought a Smashbox eyeshadow in Pronto, a MAC Mineralize eyeshadow duo in Illusionary/Burning Ambition, and she kindly agreed to order a Neutrogena Healthy Skin foundation in 60 Natural Beige for me. The foundation's actually a smidge darker than Bourjois 53 :S oops. So I guess if I get darker this summer I'll have a foundation to match. Although it's said to be a dupe for NARS Sheer Glow, I don't have Sheer Glow so I can't say if it is. But it's very similar to Healthy Mix Serum in consistency and coverage, and maybe even in finish. The scent is slightly fruity, from the 'exclusive antioxidant blend' I suppose. The foundation was bubble-wrapped really well so it arrived intact but the Smashbox eyeshadow smashed (punny). :( I tried to re-press it this morning because it was so pitiful in its rubble state but I tried to press it back together and I think it'll hold up for now. I didn't have any rubbing alcohol so I just compacted it down with a coin wrapped in a tissue and it seemed to be okay. It was very messy, especially because the Smashbox packaging is rubberised like NARS, but the colour is pretty so I wanted to be able to use it. It's a shimmery pink-leaning beige champagne. The MAC Mineralize eyeshadow duo was limited edition so you can't get it anymore, but it's only okay. I definitely prefer the brown shade. The lighter shade is very yellow and filled with gold shimmer, so I don't like it much.

From L-R: Pronto, Illusionary/Burning Ambition

From iHerb I ordered the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque and the Real Techniques Stippling Brush. I'll post about the Real Techniques Stippling and Blush brushes together in a separate post, so I only photographed the mask. I've tried it out twice so far, and I think it does work. It somewhat shrunk pore size and calmed redness. It looks really gross and funky straight out of the tube, and smells minty. I've never tried face masks before, but this isn't difficult to apply and washes off easily. :)

I highly recommend getting the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque from iHerb because it's under $4 and the tube is massive. I'll post about the Sigma brushes separately another day. Now that it's holidays, I have lots of time to blog and I've definitely got a few things to blog about. :) Yay for summer holidays!

  1. Awesome stuff! Too bad for the lost in transit package and I agree, I don't like the yellowness of the light shade in the duo. That sucks your shadow shattered but it is a lovely shade! I'd be too worried to order foundation in a glass bottle! I'm planning on ordering a few things in the next few weeks. Palettes to be precise! ^^

  2. Really wonderful cometics! I really like it the neutrogena foundation!

  3. Nice haul! :) Glad that you finally got your things!
Sorry to hear about the Smashbox though :/
    Woo more RT!

  4. Good haul! A shame about the Smashbox :( Hope it ends up okay!

  5. How long did it take for your iHerb order to arrive?

  6. Usually my orders take about two weeks or less. :)

  7. Awww, yay! They actually arrived - after like ... months?! I want to know the long story lol :p It will assuage my own deep set paranoia about online purchases and shipping issues haha. I'm not sure if I'll be making an iHerb order any time in the next few months, but if I do, I will think of adding that mask to my cart :)

    1. Finally! Haha it's not related to the postal service or customs at all- the parcels arrived way back in July but I wasn't home when they got delivered so my mum just put them away until a couple of days ago when the Uni year had finished so she gave them to me. Because she's Asian like that. It did teach me not to order stuff online, so lesson learnt I guess. I really like the mask! I think it's worth the praise. :)

    2. WHHHAATTT! Lol :) That's cute of your mother, and yes, very Asian ;)
