Most Worn Things | Summer

I haven't used any new or interesting products this past month, so I thought I'd do this tag instead of a Monthly Favourites post.

Questions:
1. Nail Polish
To be honest, I don't really wear nail polish and I can't honestly say I have a most worn nail polish of summer. I wore OPI's Bubble Bath and Sinful Colors' Cinderella a couple of times but not often enough.

2. Hair Product
I don't really do much to my hair, but I picked up the L'Oreal Elvive Anti-Frizz Smooth Intense serum and it works well and smells nice too. It doesn't leave any oily residue and it smooths the hair out nicely. After using it, my hair's a lot more manageable. I bought a flat-iron straightener but since getting this serum I haven't bothered using heat on my hair to neaten it at all.

3. Bag

I don't have a most used bag- I swap between bags all the time and they're nothing special so I don't think they're worth posting about. Sorry!

4. Shoes

Again, I don't really have a most-worn pair of shoes. I swap between a pair of black bow flats for work, silver T-bar sandals and black ankle boots but they're nothing special and they're all pretty cheap so I won't bother photographing them.

5. Clothing Item
My parents came back from Singapore hauling suitcases full of gifts for us and this light floral scarf was one of them. It's from H&M and I love it (apart from that one time I wore it to ice-skating as it was about as useful as a chocolate teapot). I wore it all summer long and it really brightens up casual, simple outfits.

6. Accessory

My most worn accessory is a pair of earrings. I like studs because they're low-maintenance and I got this pair from my parents for my 18th birthday. I wear them everywhere and I think they're understated and pretty.

7. Foundation
My most worn base isn't a foundation- it's Skin79's Super+ Triple Functions BB Cream. SPF25, arbutin whitening, sebum control, light-medium coverage and easy peasy oxidising colour match- you really couldn't ask for much more.

8. Bronzer and/or Blush
For bronzer, it's easy as I only have one but it's well-worn and I really like it- Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder in 52 is great. For blush, it's got to be Laura Mercier's Second Skin Cheek Colour in Lush Nectarine. This was enabled by ViviannaDoesMakeup and it's a gorgeous peachy coral with the best formula I've ever used.

9. Lip Product
Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Charm has been a constant this summer. I like both the initial peachy shade as well as the peachy-pink it stains after about forty minutes. The wind-up pencil is easy to use and I'm looking forward to trying CoverGirl's rendition whenever it arrives in Australia.

10. Mascara
I posted about my two favourites here but since writing that up I found I prefer Maybelline's Full N Soft waterproof to CoverGirl's Lash Blast waterproof.

11. Eyeshadow
Who would have thought Bad to the Bronze could be knocked off its pedestal? This Sofea baked Single Eye Colour in 07 is a gorgeous peachy gold and I've been looking for an equivalent that I can get over here because it's a beautiful colour. I usually wear it over a base of Revlon Illuminance creme shadow, and it wears nicely.

12. Fragrance
Stella. I've raved about this enough- I'll spare you this time. :P

This was a really fun tag to do, and I'll tag Lena, Michelle, Candice, Jennifer, and Tasha. Have fun, and I hope your responses follow the rules better than mine did! xx

  3. I still haven't indulged in any Revlon Lip stains yet even though there is so much hype about them- I think I just find the formula a little too drying for my lips. I really want to try a nice bronzing powder and really interested in trying Bourjois ones- although I have heard that they do slightly have a hardened surface which makes it hard for a brush to pick up any product. The shade of the blush looks gorgeous too :)

    1. Karen, you need to get your hands on the Revlon JBKBS! I'm eyeing the shade Sweetheart even though I never wear brights, because it's so pretty. I've convinced myself I can sheer it out or try the Korean ombre lip thing.

  4. Love this, the photography is beautiful. You really only have one bronzer? I wish I was that restrained, even though I don't always wear bronzer I have quite a few in my stash =( I have the Bourjois one in the lighter shade but I haven't really given it a good go yet- need to rectify that!

    1. Thank you so much - it's funny you should say that as photography is something I struggle with! I wasn't a fan of bronzer for a long time but I'm pretty much converted now. To this day I have two lol.

  7. Yay, thanks for tagging me! This sounds fun to do. Can't believe how much of that bronzer you've used up. That scarf is really pretty, love the print and the colours :) It's weird to think that summer is entirely over - hello March! :S

  8. Lovely picks! I've yet to try bb creams from skin 79 although I do use bb cream most of the time! I totally didn't recognize the bronzer! Looks like you've really used it well!

  10. The Stella perfume reminds me of root beer (which I love!). I got a sample of it and have been loving it so much! Just can't seem to justify going out to purchase the full bottle yet.
