5 Minute Face

I'm trying to get into the habit of filling a makeup bag and using all those products up in an attempt to start finishing makeup items so here's what's been in my makeup bag for the past week. I've gotten into the habit of an everyday routine for work and Uni and it's nothing special but it literally takes about five minutes so I thought I'd blog about it.

For base I use the Skin79 Super+ Triple Functions BB Cream SPF25 PA++ and I find it's the easiest choice for everyday wear as it's good to the skin and the shade match is fuss-free. I've been skipping powder and going straight on to bronzer- and nothing new here, I use NYC Sunny on the temples and cheekbones with a Real Techniques Blush Brush and a bit of Rimmel Santa Rose on the apples. This takes about two minutes and is definitely more suited to Uni or meeting friends for lunch because doing evening makeup requires much more time and care.

For eyes I've liked doing a bit of liquid liner so I run a thin, natural line of Bourjois Liner Feutre along the upper lashline with a tiny kitten flick and finish with the Shiseido Eyelash Curler and the Kiss Me Heroine Make Volume and Curl Mascara. This takes the most time out of the whole routine and sometimes I forgo winging out the liner because hands get shaky and things get ugly.

I watched a couple of Korean beauty programs on Youtube and the girls swore by Benefit's Cha Cha Tint on the lips and although I don't own Cha Cha Tint, I do have a Korean dupe of it- Lioele Pop Orange Tint- which is nice but a bit less pigmented than the Benefit original. I've been using it on a daily basis and it adds a bit of subtle colour that doesn't need maintenance.
I haven't been very adventurous with lipsticks and the like because my lip product drawer looks like it exploded and and with the small space I have I can't get them all to fit nicely so I'm looking for a small tiered lipstick holder or something similar so I can properly utilise all the products I have. If you have any storage suggestions please let me know! At the moment, my blush and eyeshadow drawer and lip product drawer are in need of serious attention. But let's put that off til the mid-year holidays. :D

  1. Ooh the Lioele Pop Orange Tint sounds good :)
I need a better storage too! My blush drawer is getting too cluttered up due to my recent blush obsession.

    1. Blush is so addictive to collect! The amount of makeup I have is ridiculous.

  2. I heard lots of good reviews about the Skin79 Super+ Triple Functions BB Cream SPF25 PA++. I wanted to try this but I`m torn between this one and the other variant which is the gold one.

    1. I've tried both and I prefer the pink one for oilier skin- if you have normal/dry skin in a cooler climate, go for the gold one.
