Scrubby Business

Spotted in Coles: a brand dupe for Soap and Glory. Dirty Works is also made in the UK, and has very similar packaging and brand design. The Australian product release is limited to scrubs and body butters in two ranges- this blue line which smells exactly like the Soap and Glory Hand Food signature scent; and a purple coconut line- which I personally didn't take to- but it was completely sold out a few days later so its popularity is tried and true. Best of all, nothing from the collection is priced over $10.

How nasty claw marks look. This Dirty Works Glow Girl! Buttery Salt Scrub is different to the texture of the Flake Away and Breakfast scrubs by Soap and Glory- the sand-like beads are suspended in a light fluffy cream. It's very abrasive, so it's not for the sensitive-skinned. Typical of magazines and marketing campaigns around this time of year: scrubs are especially ideal for this spring weather when jeans are being haphazardly folded into the bottom dresser drawers in favour of shorts and skirts. This scrub does a good job at exfoliating the skin and sloughing off flaky bits, leaving the skin smoother and somewhat replenished as best a scrub can do. It doesn't substitute for a moisturiser the way some oil-based body scrubs might, but it does what it can. For $9, it does what an equivalent costing $18.95 from Kit Cosmetics can do- so for half the price from a supermarket, it's worth a try.

    1. I'm not sure- sorry! I've only seen at the one in Toowong in Brisbane. And I'd never heard of it either- but the range looks promising!

  2. Wow I haven't heard or seen this around, what a great new range to stock at Coles! Seeing as the product range is all under $10, it definitely won't hurt the bank to try :) The packaging doesn't look too bad either!
