Most Worn Things | Spring

I'm bringing all the old tag blog posts back- I wanted to recount a few of my favourite things from the past few months and this tag is the perfect way to do it. With spring fading away and summer heating things up, there's no better way to sum up the star products and pieces of spring months (and the previous two seasons) because they really are the better part of the year.

01 Nail Polish |  I adore L'Oreal Riviera Lavender because it's the perfect medium purple and the formula paints almost opaque in one coat. Revlon Whimsical painted over Essie Absolutely Shore is such a gorgeous combination- pale seafoam mint with playful hex glitter speckled.

02 Hair Product | In addition to my L'Oreal EverStrong Reconstruct Shampoo and Conditioner, the Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk has been tiding me over between washes. Morroccanoil's great for supplementing the tips; it leaves the hair feeling smoother and silkier.

03 Bag | The bag I've been using since March is from Colette by Colette Hayman. What's in my bag posted here.

04 Shoes | I've been wearing through a pair of sandals every year and this pair from Charles and Keith is what I've been wearing. I didn't buy it myself- my mum bought them for me in Singapore last year and I love the gold detail. As far as I know, Charles and Keith are a Singapore-based shoe store and I haven't seen them anywhere else.

05 Clothing Item | This grey and white speckle knit with crochet trim from Valleygirl is one of my favourite pieces this year. I live in jeans and shorts year-round and throw this on over a tank top to keep out the morning and evening chill. Spring weather is mostly lovely.

06 Accessory | Apart from the stud earrings and necklace I always wear, I've been wearing these necklaces from H&M and Forever 21, as well as a silver ring which my parents bought when they were on their honeymoon in Bali.

07 Foundation | I've been wearing Laura Mercier's Mineral Powder more often than any other base I own, because it lends itself to warmer weather so much more generously than liquid foundations or BB cream. Thankfully I purchased the shade Natural Beige in May so that it matches, unlike the lighter shade Real Sand which I couldn't make work.

08 Bronzer and/or Blush | Bronzer hasn't been an important element in my makeup but I have been wearing NYC Sunny a couple of times a week. NARS Deep Throat blush is the real star of the season, because it's such a beautiful peachy pink. I only wish it would last a bit longer on the skin- it has the tendency to fade after 4-5 hours.

09 Lip Product | The NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp took a couple of tentative uses to warm up to but I'm really liking it. It's less saturated than it looks in the tube and on the applicator but it's a very pretty strawberry pink that looks good on any kind of day. Thankfully NYX has installed themselves in some Target stores around the country so it's easily available now!

10 Mascara | I've blogged about these before so I won't gush this time but the Kiss Me Heroine Make Long and Curl was my mascara for the season- I quite like its lengthening characteristic and I love that it doesn't budge through sweat, sebum or tears but I'm not as big a fan of this fiber formula- I'll go back to the Make Volume and Curl version for the next few months.

11 Eyeshadow | The combination of Maybelline Color Tattoos in Bad to the Bronze and Barely Branded underneath the Sofea Colorful Single Eye Shadow in 07 is a firm favourite and well-worn; it's understated, daytime-appropriate and pretty.

12 Fragrance | Versace Bright Crystal was my most-worn fragrance for the past few months- I do love Marc Jacobs Daisy but this one was much easier to wear, albeit the least niche of my fragrances. I love how preppy it smells- sweetly floral but with a juicy citrus tang.

  1. Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation is my go to foundation at the moment. Great products :)

    Charming Silence

    1. Thanks! And LM's mineral powder is great! So much more bearable on the skin.
