A/W Skincare Solution I

This is the first post of two that documents my skincare routine for the cooler seasons this year. This one will be about my daily skincare routine and part two will be about extras like masks and makeup removers. To clarify, I have combination skin, with dry cheeks and an oily nose, that is prone to blemishes subject to usual factors like quantity and quality of sleep, diet, water intake and hormones. I like using a mixture of brands in my skincare routine, varying from French to Asian to what you can find in Mecca Maxima, but I do watch how much I spend as I'm a full-time student without a job so I don't splurge on high-end brands very often. I've spoken about these products in previous posts but I'm posting about it in one big official post as I've got my skincare routine down pat and it involves just a handful of products.

The bare bones of my skincare routine goes like this: a cleanse morning and night with the Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser, using the Etude House Natural Jelly Cleansing Puff at night. I always follow up with Hada Labo Super Hydrating Lotion because without it, my skin feels dehydrated. To keep the acne 'at bay', I use a dab of the Benzac 5% Benzoyl Peroxide gel cream on problem areas, and to fade hyperpigmentation away I use the La Roche-Posay Sensi White Essence. I absolutely love all 5 products and have repurchased 4 out of the 5 numerous times. I've tried many other cleansers and a few alternatives to the benzoyl peroxide gel cream like the Kate Somerville AntiBac and La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo but I find this works best for me.

Stay tuned for part two of this skincare post duet next week!
