September + October Favourites

A few fish-eye shots of my standout products from the past two months! The line between September and October blurred for me, as routine and deadlines caused time to pass incredibly quickly. I feel like October has whizzed by too, because it seems like just yesterday that people were talking about Halloween and it's finally passing. Personally I take no interest in Halloween but with all the merchandise everywhere, it's almost impossible to avoid. I've been extremely busy handling life- I'm working as a student urban planner 4 days a week and completing 3 University assignments and studying for an exam so blogging has had to take a backseat for a while but I attended a Brisbane blogger/vlogger event last week and acquired a number of new products to trial so there's more content coming!

Tresemme Perfectly UnDone Dry Defining Spray and Wave-Creating Sea Foam for Soft Waves
I've wanted to try these products since they came out and I resisted until they went on sale. They finally went on sale and I bought the dry defining spray and went back for the foam the next day. I have naturally wavy hair and I love the shampoo and conditioner from the same Perfectly UnDone line because it embraces the shape of natural waves and smooths the frizz. I love this combo for accentuating my natural waves- just pat in the foam, scrunch, leave to air dry and spritz in the texturising spray.

Jeuneusse Luminesce Cellular Rejuvenation Serum
This product is nothing short of a new skin in a bottle. I was having trouble with some cystic acne and with the apple cider vinegar toner and this serum the breakouts cleared up and after 2 days the skin looked like they normally would after a week. A couple of weeks of using this nightly has helped to refine my skin texture and it clears up hyperpigmentation much quicker than any other product I've tried because it speeds up skin cell regeneration and resurfacing.

Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion in W13 Natural Beige
This has been such a good match for my skintone and with its high SPF and weightless texture I have loved applying this in the mornings for a natural base. I've been throwing it into my bag and applying it with the accompanying puff for an easy base that only takes a few seconds to apply. Disappointingly though, this is not a miracle product- I've had it for about 6-7 months and it's starting to dry out. I have to press harder to get any product on the puff after on-off use so when my refill in the darker shade Honey Beige arrives in the mail, I'll be careful to use it more regularly.

Etsy Blushie White Peach perfume oil
I bought a pack of 6 samplers from this Etsy seller and I've LOVED using this on its own and layered with my other fragrances- in particular, Marc Jacobs Daisy. It's a delicious fruity fragrance that smells almost purely of peach, but it's not sugary, which I appreciate. I'm tempted to buy the full size when I finish this sampler!

Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar Toner
I'd forgotten how good this was for my skin but I remembered just when my skin was having some atrocious cystic breakouts and having an acidic toner return the pH of my skin back to right levels helped so much and the breakouts cleared in a couple of days. I've been using it day and night ever since and I follow it up with my usual Hada Labo SHA Lotion and serums and SPF and makeup. It does smell a bit but the smell dissipates after a few minutes.

Oh Wonder
I've posted about my love for this pop power duo from the UK before, but when they released their album the song Without You got me.

Law and Order: SVU
In September I burned through all the seasons available on Netflix. I was fascinated and at the same time, full of self-loathing because I had no self-control.

I love this group- I'd heard their Daft Punk medley but when I found their cover of Cheerleader and their La La Latch mashup I was hooked. I looked in vain for a tour date that I could keep an eye out for in the event that tickets would be available. They're not even touring Australia in 2016 so I guess I should have taken interest last year when they did come to Brisbane.
