Rose Addicted

I love my lip balms, lipsticks and lip tints but I can't say I've ever been a lover of lip liner though I think I've been converted with my latest lip product purchase! I purchased the Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in Addicted which at 40% off in Priceline's sale (making cheap even cheaper!) and I can't stop wearing them!

I love the pigmented, smooth application and it's mechanical so you can twist to wind up more pencil as needed instead of sharpening it. It's a gorgeous brown-based rose that is very similar to my natural lip colour and I think it works quite well on my skintone. My sister tried it on and as she's more tan than I am, it looked a bit too flat and dull on her so I think it would suit fairer skin tones. I've found a new favourite lip combo in colouring my lips with the Addicted pencil and blotting, followed by a layer of the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 01 Rose Shimmer, which is a sheer yellow-based pink balmy gloss. I've been tempted by the lip pencil in East End Snob from the same range, which has been touted by Amelia Liana as a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk, but when swatched I find it to be too pink for my taste. I much prefer the MLBB (my-lips-but-better) hue of Addicted. I would lip swatch but I can't take photos that I'm happy with (sorry).

I've loved the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector for its balmy feel and lightweight texture and layered over the top of a lip pencil is one of my favourite ways to use it. I've been wearing both products together and on their own, depending on the condition my lips are in- when I've remembered to take care of chapped lips I can get away with wearing the pencil on its own and it lasts for an impressive amount of time before fading off onto my tea mug or coffee cup. I haven't found either of these products to smudge onto my teeth, which is great. I would highly recommend trying the Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour lip pencils for their formula- whether you like pink (East End Snob, duh), or rosy and natural MLBB (Addicted), or one of the other shades.
