Brisbane Any Day

I haven't done a personal post in a while and I thought I'd post about what I've been up to- mostly been working and enjoying Brisbane in my spare time- little things like taking the ferry instead of the bus and eating at new places instead of our usual haunts.

My family had a Sunday picnic in the Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens and I brought my big girl camera along. We don't take many photos together...

There were so many beautiful spring flowers!

Such gorgeous weather in September!

I took the CityCat to meet Peter for dinner and it was such a nice ride!

Heard good things about Hamjibak in Runcorn and went there for dinner- I had soybean stew and he had bibimbap. It was alright, nothing to write home about. I was impressed that they have a wide variety of banchan though!

I was really craving dessert and went back to Sonder for the hojicha parfait - it was so good! The tea there is good too.

Started running again!

Peter's brother got married at Sirromet and the food was so good!

At Survey Co. for Peter's 26th birthday and the food was great! This was the corn entree.

I had the barramundi with cauliflower puree and salt vinegar crisps and he had the crab pappardelle.

Strawberry Shortcake dessert - the sorbet was probably my favourite part.

Went to Hosokawa, Milany Gelato and the New Farm Riverwalk and it was basically the perfect date itinerary except it was with the extended family.

Treated myself to a new baby - I'll post about it soon!

Spontaneously decided to see the movie Snowden and ate at Grill'd after- it was a good movie! Given that he studied electrical engineering and is studying Computer Science he really appreciated it. I as a non-IT professional would also recommend for the perspective it gives on politics, technology and social awareness.
